The conference Materials.it which will be held in Catania (Italy), on next December 12th - 16th, will include “Research Ideas for the Market”, an event especially dedicated to promote innovative research solutions mature for industrial applications.
In the era of globalization, it is crucial that scientists are able to translate new high-tech research products to the market. This helps them to look at their research activities with an interdisciplinary approach besides to a specific focus on the exploitation potential, thus increasing the relevance of scientific research and its outcomes.
In this view, we encourage those having such novel concepts to submit by October 31st their “Research Idea for the Market” (max. 3 pages) at submission.materials2016@cnism.it. The proposals have to be prepared according to the template availabe for download here and should highlight the innovation, transferability and potential impact of the research topic.
The submitted ideas will be evaluated by a panel of tech-transfer experts. The best Research Ideas for the Market will be awarded and the proposers will have the opportunity to present their idea in front of venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, industrial R&D and technology transfer expertsat the ad hoc session of the conference. The expert panel will guarantee full confidentiality as regards intellectual property rights.
