By plane

Landing in Cristoforo Colombo Airport is the most impressive* way to reach Genova, with a spectacular view of the Ligurian coast and the city.

*the landing is less impressive ( or much more!) with windy weather

The airport is connected to the city center by bus (Volabus, 6 euros). The transfer  takes approximately 30 min to get to the center.

Taxis are available with special fare to the main train stations (8 euros per person, min. 3 persons).

Genova can also be reached easily from the airports of Milano Linate, Milano Malpensa, Pisa, Torino, Orio al Serio (Bergamo) and Nice (France), connected to Genova by train or by bus.

By train

Genova has two main railway stations. Genova Piazza Principe ( center-west) is the main departure/arrival point to and from the North and West (directions Milan, Turin, Switzerland, France). Genova Brignole (center-east) is the main departure/arrival point for connections to the south (direction Pisa-Rome).

By car
